As many business owners can attest, getting to your third year as an entrepreneur is tough. Making it to 20 years can be seen as an ascent to Everest for a business owner just getting his feet on the ground.

This year FletcherPR client, Cellular Sales, is celebrating its 20^th anniversaries. Cellular Sales, headquartered in Knoxville, has been going strong for two decades now. Keeping the doors open for 20 years is an accomplishment in and of itself, but this business hasn’t just survived, it has flourished.

Cellular Sales is the nation’s largest premium Verizon Wireless retailer, operating more than 560 stores and employing more than 4,500 employees across the U.S. They were named as one of the fastest-growing, privately owned retailers by Inc. Magazine from 2008-2012. Now they are a mammoth in the mobile device retail industry.

It all started 20 years ago when founder and CEO, Dane Scism, bought the cell phone store he worked at on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Over the ensuing two decades, Cellular Sales grew to the point where it is now--the largest authorized Verizon Wireless dealer in the United States. Cellular Sales announced the purchase of a new building for its corporate headquarters, another sign of the company’s continued growth.

We hope the next 20 years holds as much success and prosperity as the previous 20. Happy birthday, Cellular Sales.
