    She's SO Empowered: Jeanne Robertson

For this edition of Her Voice, She's SO Empowered, we wanted to turn the spotlight on Jeanne Robertson, who happens to be performing for a special Rotary fundraiser event in Knoxville on June 15th. Jeanne, a former Miss North Carolina, is a professional speaker who specializes in hilarious humor based on her life experiences. She speaks to thousands of people each year, using her positive, funny style to illustrate that a sense of humor can be a strategy for success.

6'2" in stocking feet, Jeanne, has quite a presence but her humility and southern charm win over every critic. She even won Miss Congeniality in the Miss America Pageant.

You may have seen this Hall of Fame speaker being interviewed by CBS correspondent Morley Safer on "60 Minutes" . . . or watched one of the six humor DVDs she has produced in the last twelve years . . . or heard her daily on Sirius/XM Radio’s Family Comedy Channels . . . or seen her Youtube clips that have had more than 13.5 million hits. But only if you've seen Jeanne in person at one of the thousands of speeches she has given over the past 48 years can you really appreciate why she stands at the top of her profession.

Jeanne Robertson is funny, but her message is that a sense of humor is an attitude, an approach toward working with people. She believes that this humor attitude can be developed and improved, and she outlines how to do so while captivating audiences with funny, original stories. For this reason, we'd like Jeanne to know we think she's SO Empowered! Thanks Jeanne for making us laugh and smile. Knoxville welcomes you!
